When I heard that theme for the 2026 Met gala was Costume Art: Fashion is Art I was equal parts thrilled and concerned; it felt like the perfect opportunity for people to go above and beyond but I also feared it was too broad a term.
Time and time again we see simple gowns and basic suits on the bodies of people who should know better than to wear a plain pink maxi dress or black two piece suit to the MET gala. IT IS THE MET GALA.
But thankfully for 2026 some people nailed the trend (some people royally failed as well, ofc) and can we all just take a moment for the goddess that is Anok Yai?
