Zodiac Academy : The Awakening by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti
“All that was left was the girl who had never had any parents and always wondered what that kind of love felt like,” – Tory Vega
Tory and Darcy Vega are eighteen year old twin orphans who haven’t had the easiest of lives. But when Professor Orion of the Zodiac Academy turns up to advise them of their mystical parentage the hardship is only just beginning.
The Gemini twins are fun, relatable leads and jumping between the twins monologues is a smooth transition and ensures you don’t miss any of the action.
The world of Solaria is an enticing one and the concepts around the different orders of Fae are downright spectacular. Combined with the zodiac inspired magic system it’s a new favourite realm of fantasy reads.
Romance within Zodiac Academy is more burning desire and inappropriate longing as opposed to poetry worthy love but when it sizzles dear Lord it sets the whole damn world alight.
Zodiac Academy does have wattpad style tendencies and though it won’t be taught in schools it knows what it is and plays the part gloriously.
Spicy, exhilarating and deliciously addictive Zodiac Academy merges the world of adult spice and young adult fiction to create an enthralling urban fantasy.
