Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi review

4/5

“Don’t ask me questions you already know the answers to. Twice I’ve laid myself bare to you and all it’s gotten me was a bullet wound and a broken heart.”

During Shatter Me Juliette comes across as a little muted in comparison to her fellow young-adult dystopian leads (see Angelfall, Divergent, The Hunger Games) and her power and troubled past is definitely the most interesting thing about her
The side characters are slightly more intriguing but it’s the Shatter Me cliff hanger that convinces you to read the sequels.

💪🏻🖤📖💉

The adrenaline is upped in Unravel Me and Juliette comes more into herself. Fan favourite Kenji plays a pivotal role and will have you smirking and gushing with every word he utters.
By Ignite Me Juliette is a force to be reckoned with. She is strong, determined and a little sarcastic – we love to see it.
It’s clear now that the slightly weak, broken girl in Shatter Me was needed for this whirlwind of a superhero to be born.

The chapters are short and sweet with surprises around every corner and although not heavy on the humour there’s enough to make you smile.

A must read for anyone who thrived in the era of love triangles, a broken world and that one saviour. Shatter Me knows it’s audience and knows it well

⚔️For fans of Angelfall and The Hunger Games ⚔️
