Punk 57 is both hot and heartbreaking with two leads that will infuriate you whilst pulling on your heart strings and making you want to pull off their clothes.Β
Ryen is a painfully familiar character not because youβve read about her before but because weβve all been her. Misha is the brooding, tall dark stranger of your dreams and together they make a dangerously addictive couple.
Besides the novel being quite clearly a sex infused page turner Punk 57 is an important read.
Addiction, abuse, sex, bullying; itβs all sprinkled into the novel subtly and yet so explicitly it makes everything as high fuelled as the tension between Misha and Ryen.
As well as tackling tough subjects with sincerity Punk 57 keeps you guessing right until the very end with twists and turns youβll never see coming.Β
Will it win a Pulitzer? Not anytime soon. But you canβt put a price on honesty and making a reader feel accepted is so much more than an award.
